Whistler, BC in 2010 will be the site for the Alpine (downhill, super G, giant slalom, slalom, combined), Nordic (biathlon, cross country skiing, Nordic combined), Sliding (ski jumping, bobsleigh, luge, skeleton) and all Paralympics events.

Whistler Mountain opened in 1966 and Blackcomb Mountain opened in 1980. In 1992, Snow Country Magazine voted Whistler/Blackcomb as the Number One Ski Resort in North America. Cost of the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Winter Games

The 2010 Winter Games are going to cost an estimated 1.3 Billion Dollars. Television revenues are expected to yield 670 million and are 67% higher than originally estimated and budgeted. 50% of revenues will come from broadcasting, 40% from corporate sponsorship, 8% from ticket sales and 2% from licensing.
