Whistler, BC in 2010 will be the site for the Alpine (downhill, super G, giant slalom, slalom, combined), Nordic (biathlon, cross country skiing, Nordic combined), Sliding (ski jumping, bobsleigh, luge, skeleton) and all Paralympics events.
Whistler Mountain opened in 1966 and Blackcomb
Mountain opened in 1980. In 1992, Snow Country Magazine voted
Whistler/Blackcomb as the Number One Ski Resort in North America.
Since then, various publications have continued to offer top
designations to the Whistler Resort.
